In the engineering of PE pipes,there will be many connection problems,and it is necessary to minimize the use of pile connections.Pile connections should be carried out after the pile tip passes through the hard soil layer.When connecting piles near the hard bearing layer or in the hard special force layer,the number of joints in any single pile should not exceed 3,and there will be special requirements for the method of connecting piles.
Firstly,when the upper and lower sections of the pile are spliced into a whole pile,it is advisable to use end plate welding connection or mechanical joint connection,and the strength of the joint connection should not be less than the strength of the pipe pile body.And when connecting the piles,the pile head of the buried part of the pipe pile should be 0.5m-10m above the ground.Afterwards,guide hoops should be installed at the pile head of the lower section pile to facilitate the positioning of the upper section pile.When connecting PE pipes,the upper and lower sections of the pile should be kept straight,and the displacement deviation should not exceed 2mm.
The splicing of PE pipes for pipe piles should be carried out according to the above requirements,and effective anti-corrosion measures should be taken for the pipe pile joints based on the engineering geological conditions.Clean parts need to be inserted into the pipe for calibration,then powered on for welding and cooling.The depth line should be marked on these qualified and clean parts.
