How to check the quality of PE pipes? That's to conduct a pressure test. It can check whether there is any leakage in the entire PE pipeline, so this step is very important and must be taken seriously.
1、 There are regulations for pressure testing of PE pipes:
The length of pipeline segmented pressure testing generally does not exceed 1000m, and the test pressure is 1.1Mpa according to the design requirements.
2、 How to test pressure:
When the back and pipe plugs at both ends of the pressure testing section and the interface are subjected to initial force, special caution should be taken. A dedicated personnel should monitor the working condition of the pipe plugs and back at both ends. In addition, there should be one person to contact back and forth in order to promptly stop pressurization and handling problems and ensure pressure testing safety. During the pressure test, the pressure should be gradually increased and not increased too much at once to avoid accidents. After each increase in pressure, it should be observed and checked immediately. If no problems are found, continue to increase the pressure gradually until it reaches the specified test pressure. If there is any interface leakage during the pressurization process, it should be immediately depressurized and repaired to ensure safety.
[Additional explanation] During the entire pressure testing process of PE pipes, multiple people need to cooperate and observe at all times to see if there are any water leakage points. A simple way is to use a tissue to wipe the interface to see if there is water.
